Transmission Plates (Oil Immersed )
E. Fletcher (Chesterfield) Limited have specialised in the supply of Oil Immersed Transmission Plates and Oil Immersed Brake Plates for over thirty years.
Oil Immersed Transmission and Braking systems have proved themselves to be the most reliable systems when used on Industrial Type Vehicles. The system is fully enclosed and therefore less likely to be contaminated with particles from the environment in which the machine is working.
Although very reliable, these Oil Immersed Brake & Transmission systems do need to be overhauled from time to time whereby the operator then finds that this is slightly more complex than that of changing a standard clutch or set of brake pads or shoes. The process is often lengthy and requires removal of transmission or brake unit to either a specialised reconditioner or a clean workshop area.
At this point it is of the utmost importance that reliable Oil Immersed Transmission Plates or Brake Plates, as either case may be, are fitted as it would be beneficial not to have to repeat this process in the near future through fault of poor quality components!
