Friction Materials (Industrial)
E. Fletcher (Chesterfield) Limited have substantial stocks of Industrial Friction Materials in the form of Industrial Disc Brake Pads.
The term "Industrial Friction" would cover products for vehicles of industrial nature such as Dump Trucks, both rigid and articulated, Loading Shovels or Wheeled Loaders as they are also referred to, Mobile Cranes and Container Handling Vehicles etc; etc.
Industrial Friction materials sold by ourselves are now all "asbestos free" in line with current European and North American regulations. Modern materials have now substituted asbestos content with ingredients such as Aramid Fibres, Glass Fibres and Metallic inclusions in the way of Sphoidal and Flake particles. Current Asbestos Free materials offer extended life to that of asbestos with no added detrimental effect to that of asbestos in the way they react with the mating components, be they a Brake Drum or Brake Disc, (or Brake Rotor as they are sometimes known).As for manufacturers brands, such brake pads would be commonly fitted to Vehicle Manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Terex, Volvo, Komatsu, Moxy, O&K, Hanomag, JCB, Aveling Barford, Bell; and Brake Caliper Manufacturers such as Rockwell, BF Goodrich, Mico and Perrot, to name but a few.
